Smallest wheels?

What are the smallest sized rims that will fit on the 1? It looks like the front brake rotors might be small enough for 16" wheels.

don't think so it's the caliper you have to worry about

Yep, it looks like it would be a tight fit with 16's, looking for anyone that knows for sure. Snow tire thread didn't have anyone trying 16's.

16" is ok for 128i and down. Not 135i.

It seems like certain 16" wheels will fit...A tight fit at that.

My 120d will be delivered with 16" wheels. I didn't get optional wheels, since I'm going to get bigger aftermarket wheels on it as soon as I get the car. :drinking:

I couldn't get a set of 16" any where close to fit a 2006 330i and I found only certain 16" would fit on a 2006 325i (very small breaks comparatively) so I'd almost bet money that 16" wont fit the 135i. I did say almost so you never know:iono:

+1 I wound up with 17's on my '06 330i, and even they barely fit, like a few sheets of paper between the wheel and the caliper.

Now I know! I just thought since the 135i and the MKV R32 have similar diameter rotors that 16" might fit...but I guess not.

For the 135, I think all weather tires on 17" wheels are being offered as an option.

Talking to BBS today, the ability to get 17's over the 135i brakes is going to be very dependent on the wheel design, so in most cases it will have to be 18's
