Just wondering what the percentages of return to dealer for a problem compared to not having any problems were. |

Just for the shimmy. Had the wheels balanced and all was well. Just had them rotated yesterday, and guess what - it's back. I'll give the tires some time to break in with the new configuration though.

Low Battery light keeps coming on.
They checked battery & all is fine holding charge. My opinion, car needs much stronger battery to small for car. Seeing big chief next Wednesday, dealer doesn't know how to fix? |

The LED puddle light on my front passenger handle was burnt out so I had that fixed when they installed my CD changer. Other than that, no problems at all.

60% no problems - fairly good but I'd expect higher?

Once
Yes, to load in the software to enable Bluetooth. They completed the update in a few hours, paired my phone and even gave me a loaner

Several times, but the first time wasn't anything breaking, just to get autolock on the car. Brought it back again because my sister's key somehow wanted to display miles and gallons (In Canada). Going to bring it back in again due to car pulling right + Steering wheel jerking to the right/left on uneven road + Steering wheel shaking braking/accerlerating slowly. Looks like I got a dud XD

Mine is going in tommorow for a few things:
- Grabby brakes - hard to modulate at slow speeds - Minor shifting issues - Software update (autolock, DRLs, etc) - Door to gas cap won't open correctly - Intermittent grinding metal on metal howl from left rear Last one happened to me on Saturday. Scared the bejeezus out of me. Stopped the car, engaged/disengaged the parking brake, reversed for about 10 feet, it went away. Having them take a look, no idea of what it might have been. It's been OK since. It wasn't pad on rotor noise... Still love the car, don't get me wrong. |

Returned twice for repairs under warranty. First problem was the rubber trim under the rear window; the rubber came adrift from the glass.
Second problem: the red warning lights for seatbelts and airbags stayed on (read roadtest in October issue of Car and Driver). This problem required a day and a half to fix. Fortunately, my dealer (BMW Store in Vancouver) gave me an E46 loaner in both cases. Driving this series again was a trip backwards. The experience reinforced my conviction that the new E90 is many steps ahead of the E46. From the improved driving position, better seats (especially ZSP), far better quality materials and interior layout to the much enhanced engine and transmission, there is simply no comparison. |

I've got 7,000 km on the clock, drive both city & highway and the ONLY thing is the nav system rebooted once on its own.
THATS IT! No Rattles,No Squeeks, Fantastic Gas Mileage - 7.1 lt/100 km Only been to dealer for unscheduled oil change. (I voted NO) Hope this lasts.
