Question about cobb and emissions

So I recently installed my vrsf 3 in dps and switched my v3 Acessport to stg2 and the car hauls a**. I'm just worried about passing emissions in June will the cobb fix this or do I need to buy a dp fix?

Depends. Does CT do the tailpipe sniffer test, or just plug into the OBD2 port?

Either way Cobb does not make the post cat O2 sensors ready. It just codes out the CEL. You will not actually pass either test.

I wonder if O2 sensor spacers/extenders will work on our cars. I've had some friends use them in the past (not on a 1 series) and they've passed smog checks here in NV which is just an OBD II plug in. Has anybody tried this on the 1er?

If I bought a dp fix would I have to go back to stg0 or can I leave it in stg2

you would have to go back to stage stage 0,1,1+ since those do not disable cat codes.

just do stage 0.

After you've installed the DP fix, and flashed to stage0, you have to drive quite a bit to ensure the DME has done all emission testing. If you have an OBD reader, you can know whether all tests have been passed or not.

also, fyi, every time you flash ,clear codes, disconnect the battery, the emission tests reset.

Just so I'm sure, you mean drive around after you install the DP fix to get the right setting on it? Then can you switch to stage 2+? Sorry for noob question

Drive around after u install do fix to get the dme to adapt. But u can't switch to a different tune/map until u get ur cars emissions inspected. Once tested and passed u will have 2 yrs to play again and do ur part to destroy the ozone layer, melt our ice caps and flood some areas of our coast line. Possibly also destroy a 5.0 and an m3 in the process.
