08' 135i Coupe - my first BMW :)
Hello everyone!
Couldn't find a welcome area, so i guess this is where you introduce your car So after owning a 200SX s13 (4,5 years, tuned CA18DET from 170 to 330hp), 200SX s14a (5,5 years, SR20DET tuned to 340hp later RB25 swap tuned to 320HP) and an Audi A5 and Mercedes A200CDI in the last 4 years, i've managed to get my hands on my first BMW yesterday that also happened to be my 35th b-day (yeah, 35...135, worked out nicely) It's a 2008 135i manual from the first owner (that lives a block away for a couple of years now, was a really long drive home haha), with 143.000km, it has FSH, M package, first paint with individual stripes, no mods so bone stock, also came with a BMW winter wheel package on 17" with 205 tyres. Before buying it, a was thinking of 360hp remaps or FMIC, downpipes, catbacks, 400+ HP tunes and trackdays (i've done around 20 of them with the S14a, Nordschleife and Red Bull Ring included), but considering the history of the car, i think this time i'll just keep in in good shape, there's 11 year old parts on the car that would be more beneficial to replace/upgrade than just increase power. Starting with the gear shift knob (ordered a ZHP one yesterday) and steering wheel that show signs of wear. But first i have to get used to the RWD feeling again, although i've driven 330+ RWD cars without any driving aids or even ABS for a part of those JDM colored 10 years, going back after 4,5 years of FWD is weirder than i thought it would be, but i've only done around 70km as there's a lot to explore I do like the powerband, basically no drama all across the rev range, even DSC off on slippery road doesn't upset the 245 rear tyres. It's also fun that if you forget what gear you're in, it doesn't really matter as they all pull just fine from 2k rpm Haven't really gone anywhere to take nice pics (planning to do some mountain roads and passes next year, that i done with the A5 in 2016/2017 but the driving part wasn't that good), so here's just a few quick ones: |

Thanks guys
After 15 years of driving a manual, i'm really struggling with the clutch feel, so i have the clutch pedal stop on the way (if it allows the seat an extra notch back, even better) and also planning on doing the CDV delete mod soon. I need a more direct clutch feel and effective pedal travel for my driving/shifting style. Got used to all the clutches in 100 miles of driving max, but not this one |

Thanks, although white, black and silver/grey are considered boring by some, i'm glad it's white. My previous car was black with panorama roof, summers were a bitch
Anyway, fitted the thicker clutch stop, got the CDV delete and new gearbox mounts done, much better and a joy to drive now. Also bought Red Line D4 ATF gearbox oil that will be done sometime soon as shifts are a bit notchy. Fitted Delphi GN10571 coils today, there were bosch in there, part number ending with 470, not sure if those are the first ones or they were changed sometime before. Seems to run a lot smoother now, but haven't driven the car a lot yet. Spark plugs are 8k miles old, so still good. Also have new Zimmermann front discs and DS2500 pads, will go for the same setup also for the rear and get everything fitted in February/March along with RBF600 brake fluid. Then probably charge pipe and remap sometime in summer |

Hmm time for an update after almost 2 years
For photos, i have most of them on my IG: justanother135i Basically what's been done in this time is:
Car handles great now but had 30FF, 30FE and 3100 on my first trackday, after new solenoids i got 30FE and 3100, looks like sticky wastegates from the heat, never happened on normal roads, but takes a couple of laps on track, can also feel throttle closures in 3rd when boost is not right. Got nice photos though Will decide what to do with the turbos/wastegates over winter |

They squeal a lot on pedal pressure i use the most and also probably the rear ones jump pop in the calipers (didn't use the OEM shims, not sure if they'd fit), but dust is better than OEM BMW pads. Can't get them to fade on the street / highway, the OEM one would take maybe one braking from 120mph to feel bad afterwards.
