No more US 1M Allocations - Dealer Confirmed

I'm surprised I didn't see anyone post this, but yesterday I received a call from United BMW in Gwinnett (where I have had a deposit for about 4 months) and was told that a memo was sent to them saying no more 1Ms will be produced. Our SA said that all allocations have been filled and BMW is no longer taking orders.

Pretty disappointing and a little surprising because our dealer was told they would be getting 3 more allocations.

Anyway, I just thought I would share our experience. I am sure others will be getting the same call shortly.

If you're still looking for an allocation, keep your eye on the allocation thread. One came up in Pensacola yesterday and it took a while (few hours) before it was snatched up. A couple others were found over the last week, too. More will fall from the sky next week, then again in Oct and Nov. If you'd like me to help keep an eye out, just PM me your name and #.

Also, I'm sure there are vehicles loaded in the order bank, without owners, waiting to go into status 111 before dealers offer it out. In the system, but haven't been allocated a prod month yet.

United BMW only had 2 allocations gone in early July... Was on the list and bailed because I wasn't going to get one and had to search hard for another. Good luck!!!

I just talked to my CA and he told me that two days ago they got 7 1M Allocations. However by the next day all 7 were removed from their system. He checked into it only to find that all were entered in by mistake.

He said they all went from Very Happy to Very Sad overnight due to this mistake.

He has not heard one way or the other about No more allocations from BMWNA.

Doesn't this completely go against what is being claimed by this thread?

It sounded highly unlikely from the get go as it never conformed to the allocation process.

According to this thread, it sounds like BMWNA had distributed all of their US allotments to the dealerships. At the beginning of each month, production slots for the next month are assigned to allotments. These allotments can get freed up if a buyer has a change of heart or if the dealership is unaware that they have an allocation which happens more frequently than you would expect.

It's only Sept. 1st still time before now and end of Production likely December. Don't give up hope. All year Allocations to the US have been done Month to Month.

time and time again we have seen that information from dealer CAs has been inaccurate.
the mere fact that people are posting in the allocations thread that they were notified TODAY certainly is an indicator
