AMS intercooler install HELP!

Hi,

Cant make sense of this. Old lower charge pipe goes all the way to the intercooler. Am I supposed to have a shorter lower charge pipe? AMS kit came with a big 90 deg elbow for this end.

Help?

What year is your car? Or put another way, how many pieces comprise the OE stock cold side piping? There were some revisions made by BMW over time that could come into play here.

Late 09. Lower pipe is 1 piece as shown above.
