hi! the orders we've been talking about are all our own special orders. they won't be released to us till March 22nd ... the launch date.

regarding dealer demo cars, i'm not certain when they actually show up at the dealers but if i had to guess i'd say march 22nd as well. i'm sure others will correct me if i'm wrong on that.

I'm told the same thing regarding the demos. I'm also supposed to be called when it comes in for a quick exersize in futility tease drive to make me more insane waiting for my car... :wink:

Robert.. I cannot understand what's the holdup with your car. That makes absolutely no sense at all.

Some are already here... We saw some being delivered on the Courage, which wrecked a bunch of them in rough seas. Who knows what else had already been delivered or have come since the Courage mishap.

yes i have heard from multiple resources that demos should be here in the next few weeks

At the dealerships.. I totally agree. I meant some of the demos are already in this country, since I was replying to a post asking about them being on a ship...

I'm actually still awaiting an official confirmation on the ED date. Have you already gotten this from your dealer? If so, I'm stormin down to my dealer today, cause I put in my request in late November.

I asked my dealer awhile back about the significance of the March 22 release date. His reply was:

I can only answer by saying that HISTORICALLY, on the release date, they are on trucks rolling to the dealerships. That’s the point of building up stock in South Carolina. So, if this release holds true to form, they car could be within 3 days of the release date.

When the car gets here we have to bring it into the shop to remove packing and shipping materials, double check everything, program the computers for North America, put on a LA inspection sticker, gas it, and clean it up for delivery. It can take 1 – 2 days to have it ready to roll depending on the time of day it gets here.

This is for a delivery in Louisiana, hence the South Carolina reference. I don't know how accurate all of this is, but so far his information has been pretty reliable.
