Would like to report back after a few track events.

The PFC08 is the best dual duty brake pad Ive used so far on my 135i (fourth set in 15 months). The PFC08 are surprisingly "well-behaved" on the street, and pretty good on the track but not perfect.

Depending on track layout, and on one particular track I visit most often with 4 hard braking zones per lap, I still get some brake fade towards the 7th-8th lap (20 minutes sessions).

On a higher and longer speed track with two hard braking zones, I get no fade at all, which I assume is due to more time for cooling the brakes per lap.

Prior to the PFC08 pads, my carbotech xp10 pads never showed a sign of brake fade no matter what I threw at them (three tracks I visit in my area). But then, they screeched on the streets when the pad layer build up at the track, wore off on the street.

I bedded the pads in on the street before the track day - they were extremely squeaky before bedding. Just did about five 60-10MPH brakes and they started working well.

At the track it took several laps before they started to feel consistent, but after that, they worked nicely the rest of the weekend. Not quite as grabby as the DTC60s or 70s but very very close. These will be the pads that I use going forward. They do click when going from reverse to forward, but it's not a big deal. Not sure if they don't sit in the caliper as tightly, or if there is something else.

Gotta have a nice clean rotor!

Got more pics of the ducting? How it's routed, connected, etc.?

Would like to report back regarding the PFC08's, They are surprisingly good when used on the streets and cold. Not as much as bite as OE pads, but plenty powerful. Almost no noise to be heard of, except for very minor, barely noticeable peep during certain slow stops. I dont daily drive my 135i, more of a week-end car and for errands, but track it a lot, sometimes as much as twice a week.

I have run into minor fade issues on tracks that have frequent hard braking zones, with little time and enough speed to adequately cool the rotors/pads.

I can officially put my stamp of approval on these as a very good dual duty pad on the 135i.

Who else is using these?! They were never intended to be a street pad but like dcaron9999 mentioned they work surprisingly well on the street in between track events. They took longer than expected to become available but now there is a new pad very versatile option available that can be enjoyed. Speed-Freaks made this happen and they are stocking a large number of them now. Just a heads up they have these at 20% off and free shipping for the entire first batch ordered!

Some extra eye candy- Fresh set ready for some track abuse

Thumbs up for Anish at SpeedFreaks, who pushed on PFC to get this done late last summer. PFC are a tough bunch to work with, when developping a new pad choice, and it took a lot of persuasion and escalation to get them to produce these for the 135i.

The PFC 08 pads are thinner than other pads out of the box, but longevity is better. Only pad choice that is designed for the track, but works very well on the street, as far as Im concerned. I got minor fade on certain tracks, but mainly due to my brake overheating issue, worsened by my Titanium Heat Shields, which although protected my calipers and brake fluid, kept more heat in the pads and accelerated their wear and fade.

I just completed my winter brake ducting project, and looking forward to putting these to the test, to see if I solved my brake fade issue due to heat ...

The PFC08 is a great 135i pad choice, if not the ultimate dual duty pad choice out there. I encourage you to look into these if you havent done so, and take advantage of the SpeedFreaks rebate on the first 20 sets!!!
