HPFP and N54 Injectors recall.

I know this was posted on E90post, but for the sake of the addicts, I'll confirm it here.

Took my car in today for the 3rd brake light lens falling off, and was told 2 recalls were active on my car (didn't even ask).

#131310 High Pressure Pump
#131410 N54 Injectors

Production date: 1/JUN/08

I didn't have time to do it today, but I will be scheduling this soon.
So as others have said, you don't need to wait for the letter, just call your SA and ask them to check it for you.

They are..

also need to add 13-09-10 program only..

BTW the injector one is very specific..multi steps as such

check numbers all ok no repair
check numbers replace 1
check numbers replace 2
etc etc etc ..... up to replacing 6

so it is possible depending on whats been done in the past that you only may get 1 0r 2 etc new injectors

When they checked my VIN it didn't show the 13-09-10, so I guess the DME was already reprogrammed. I bought the car used.

VERY POSSIBLE.. dont worry if they ran your vin and you only had 2... it all depends on a lot of things..

Damn my car is a June 08 car and there is an injector recall.

No wonder my dealer asked me today if I wanted to buy an injector cleaning for $229

Does what matter ???

those 3 recalls may been on cars from 4/07 thru 10/08 for injectors
5/06 thru 10/09 for pump
3/06 thru 2/10 for programming

Yeah, went in to look for a spare cup holder..left with a appointment on Fri. for the injectors & pump. + I'm a 7/08 so he said I need a flash. Im so scared the flash will nuter my car..anybody on this version?

I got all 6 injectors and pump replaced last week for that recall.

The Flash wil not "nuter" your car...

Unless it's this flash...

... in which case yes- you can expect your car to overheat and run shitty. You'll also hear annoying songs when your car starts and you'll have to lunge for the volume knob. And it won't work on your iPhone.

I received a recall letter from BMW today for replacement of the HPFP, same day I got back from taking it in, because it threw a safe mode low power warning, and only 2 hamsters were still running. (either that or it was nutered by the Flash) New pump is in, part no 446, said to be a 5th gen item.

BTW no mention of injectors. Even tho I asked.

My letter same campaign no, 10E-A02, makes no mention of injectors, only the HPFP. I have a feeling different folks are getting different letters, probably based on the cars ID no.

The letter was the first PDF letter as listed in this thread.

I did not receive this letter. Perhaps because my car is registered in California. Dunno really.

I have yet to even receive any type of letters from bmw on my car but at the same time my brother has a 328i and he gets letters from them all the time on coupons and what not, who would i need to contact to get some info from them, BESIDES the dealer anyways

You might need to contact BMW NA directly, and make sure they have your correct address.

I just dropped my car off, and the SA told me they are replacing the HPFP and scanning all the injectors (to know if they are part of the "bad batch")

I got the recall letter but my car is quite modified. I'm running jb3, dci, catless dps... so I'm afraid to bring it in. What would you guys do in my shoes?
