error code P3OFF

I am getting this p3OFF error code and I have search this forum and it seems like no one with a 1er had this error code but on the e90 site there has only been a couple. Is this a common errorcode while running tunes? I have Cobb AP and BMS intake, and remus quad tip exhaust. The error occurs in both 4th or 5th gear between 4000-6000rpms. I read it is more than likely the diverter valves which i ordered and should be here in about 2 days but I wanted to inquire more information from someone else who has had this error code.

Appreciate the assistance as you all on this forums are always extremely helpful.

i guess i should state that i am running stage 1 on the AP and the error code happens on both linear and aggressive throttle on the 93 octane setting.

P30FF is a "boost leak" code. The most likely causes are leaks in the cold piping. Check your FMIC connections, charge pipe connections and (as you've already found out) your diverted valves. If the new DVs don't fix it then you're going to have to go through and systematically check all of those^ couplers.

+1 ^^^ I had a tear in the flimsy rubber tubing between the FMIC piping and charge pipe the last time I encountered this error code. However, as stated above could be anywhere in your cold air piping.

FYI...I replaced that flimsy accordion piping with the HP Autowerks coupling for about $60. A better quality piece.

You can run a boost leak check if all else fails. There are plenty of DIYs on You tube, or a local indy could do it for you.

Did you install any new mods recently? like FMIC, CP, DVs? those are the most common spots for boost leaks.

Your issue could be unrelated btw so give us some background on when you started seeing the issue.

Well it's an easy fix

There is a variety of options when it comes to upgraded Charge pipes. If you're going with stock DVs, I suggest ER. Their CP is metal, compatible with stock DV, and retains the factory clip.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested, we currently have sale on everything for E90post member.
