Warning Light Comes On

Hey guys,
750 miles in about 2 1/2 weeks on my new 135i, space gray, m/t, sports. Twice now a warning light has flashed on and gone away that I can't find in the manual. Its a triangle with what looks like a snowflake inside it. Anyone know what this is or, does anyone have a listing of all warning indicators?

It means the temp is getting close to freezing, and road conditions may be slippery.

Lester is correct, but apparently you need to have some previous BMW experience to interpret the symbol. The '08 non Idrive manual posted on this forum describes it on page 57 under "Outside Temperature Warning" but doesn't show the snowflake symbol. The warning comes on when the outside temp dips to 37oF/3oC as black ice may form at that temp.

If you are still running the OEM summer performance tires, be very, very careful at low temps - even on dry roads.

I'll second that. I haven't had a chance to put on my snows yet... cold wet weather today = tires spinning all through 2nd gear.

Did you have it floored in 2nd? This will be the first winter with the 135, but I had F1's on my Dodge Super Bee 07, and by just using common snese I never had a problem driving in Chicago winters.
