I decided to post these pictures I took at the ‘Ring last weekend. I am calling it my ‘Ring trip v2.0
Our little 1addicts meeting was a bust – due to severe fog at the ‘Ring, You can see for yourself it was pretty bad. It was also damm cold at just above freezing, We did manage to have a good day looking around the Museum and Arcade. It was VERY foggy at the ‘Ring…  ‘RingWerk (museum)   Welcome...    Fake grills...     M3 e46        I don’t know how I missed this the first time around the museum...            Electric pump/recharging…   This was interesting… gears…     FWD trans model…     SMG trans model that you could really see how it shifts gears!  JOY stick…    Dual clutch setup…   AWD electric power…     KW HQ…   Hands on model...   Lambo rear section…        Models going over bumpy roads…  Back in the main hall…    Lords of the ‘Ring…  The very first ‘Ring Taxi!                       Now that’s a turbo!           This AMG had some serious neg camber dialed in! 3+ neg from the looks of it!               Refueling rig…     Exploded view of a BMW William’s F1 car…         ‘Ring Gift Shop, one of many around the complex… (old photo)   MINI challenge cup car…         Cool Ring stuff…         TOASTERS!      Ferrari store…        Got ear plugs?          Aston Martin store…    I don’t know how Rick got the sales guy to give him the keys to this car! Apparently Rick gives off Aston vibes!   What a hood!                      Radical race car for the street!        R8 renn model…   Inside the Nissan store…        3D map of the ‘Ring…          Inside chip tuner DigiTech store…                     Eisenmann exhausts…   A Weissmann Coupe… M3 e46 power’d…         The ADAC store…             Group photo…  Rikx135, Dackelone, Sylon Another gift shop…           The ‘Ring Card machine where you can buy lap tickets… (no chance for us driving the track with today’s FOG! VERY un-German like! I also saw them sold at that gas station down the street from the 'Ring. The one with all the nice car models for sale. Btw... does anyone know why the original 'Ring Taxi (that white e30 M3) why does it have "ME" plates? ME = Mettmann. Just curious. |

^^that sucks. Just like my last trip there in October, 2010.
I remember my first trip to the Ring back in 1991. We went in April and when we left Frankfurt it was raining. Just before we got to the Ring it was SNOWING!!! In April! Ohh well... we got lucky and later in the day the opened the track up for "tourist driving". Dackel |

Yeah I only had ten days and that was the day I made my appointment to drive a race-prepped E92 330i on the ring and then that happened...needless to say I was very, very disappointed...I took a bunch of pics but am still to heartbroken to upload them....maybe next time i get a chance to go to Germany I will do it...if i have time...
