DCT Service

Just had my mechanic service my DCT trans. I have only 35k on my 135i and he said fluid was dirty and so was canister filter. I chose to just do the canister filter this time and change out the pan filter at the next change.
Feels like it smoothed things up, especially 1-2 shifts.
For anyone that's been holding off with over 30k might be a good idea to get it done.

That's interesting. The mechanic that did the same service as what you had done said the fluid in my DCT wasn't that bad. And I had mine done at around 89k miles.

That is interesting!
I still think that it cannot hurt to do it early on.

How much was the service if you don't mind sharing?

This guy paid for a totally unnecessary service and now wants to justify it.

He's a good friend of mine so no charge other than the cost of materials.
