I though most people DESPISED the 3 series "slide out" cupholders.

Also, why do you think the 1 series is not a "typical" BMW. The boring pecksniffs (although to be fair they are getting MUCH better) at Consumer reports gave the 135 i a "97", their highest rated "sporty car". They didn't seem to feel that there was anything "shoddy" about its construction.

2010 135i Coupe  [5.26]
I have a 135i just like you and am voicing my opinion. My brother had a 1992 318is that was solid as a rock until we sold it 2 years ago. Not a single rattle in 16 years while my brand new car rattles constantly (except when I bring it in to get the rattle fixed... then it's dead silent). You have a gap in your dash that you're not happy with. We each have our gripes so far. That was the only point I was trying to make.

Thank god NO rattles so far. I just drove the car to Florida and back and I now have 4000 miles on it in 2 months !
