I'm 46 but most people think I am 35-38. Not fat, grey, etc.
I was considering the new 2009 Acura TL supposed to be AWD. I will probably get a 135i manual sport next Feb 09. By then the new Acura will be out. The problem with the TL is I don't think they will offer a manual with AWD. And I heard the engine will be 300+ HP, but without a manual and more weight, I think I won't want one. The next car I get must handle great, do 0-60 in 5.5 or less, and look great. SO FAR the 135i fits the bill perfectly except all the problems with overheating, runflat tire bullshit, fuel pumps, and sometimes having to wait 2-8 weeks for parts from Germany. I was also considering the G37 S but the torque is not very good. And I like the looks of the 135i much better. I really don't need all the bells and whistles. I won't buy any other German car, just BMW. |

I'm 27 here. This will be my first bmw, first luxury car, first sports car, first RWD car, first turbo-powered car, and the first car I've bought with my fiance. Hence the personalized plates I already have that reads, RFIRST1
Being that we never plan on having kids, this car is by no means a stretch for us. Our honeymoon will be spent driving our new 1er around Europe.

I turn 37 next week, but I can pass for 20. I was asked for my ID when I ordered a drink at my buddy's 40th last week! And this was a scotch at the Capital Grille, not a pitcher of Pabst at a local college bar! This is only my second new car, but it is my first (and second:biggrin turbo. Also, my first vehicle with 4 wheels that can reach warp speed by the end of the on-ramp......

Yep..the year I graduated from high school....another lurking old fart still dreaming of my first BMW.....but still reminicing of that Autobahn ride in 1978 from Darmstadt to Mainz in a new 320i.....:roundel:
Ah were it not for other responsibilties....house payments, offspring in college, saving for retirment (hopefully financial BEFORE medical.....), my 1 series would already have been ordered.... |

I'm 23 and a believer in the Bimmer. Drove an E46 M3 for a couple years and am getting the 135 because I think it is a true driver's car and will be an absolute blast.

I'll say it again but I'm glad there is a good age range of owners... I had a feeling it was going to be like he GTI croud just a little too young and to show off... I got very tired of hearing my GTI beat a M3, 911, etc...

44 , former Marine and looking forward to my first BMW. My current car is a 06 MkV GTI, nothing wrong with it but looking to step up.
Probably won't look to get into the 1er until spring/summer 09. |
