Uniball Front wishbone LCA (no M)
Hi,
does anyone know if it is possible to have uniball instead of bushing in an no M Front Low Control Arm (LCA)?? My front camber is 1°50' and it is enough for my use (maybe 1 or 2 track day / year in the future) . I don't wish to increase it more and maybe compromise brake distance &/or have uneven tires wear. Precision : my car is an E82 125i (same as 128i) i have M2 front spindle with camber correction (0.5°), that is why my camber is 1°50'. So to sum up , i "cannot" use the classic M3/1M LCA but i would like even so uniball to tightening the front suspension. I have thinking to the steel Xi LCA with some spacers. what do you think of it? is anyone ever have trying it? Any other options available? Thanks Last edited by ornicar; 12-23-2021 at 01:42 PM.. |

Has anyone in 1addicts tested the AKG Motorsport WI90 kit ?? I would like to give it a try, but the fact that the bearings are not sealed bothers me a bit. I have concerns about the lifespan. Thanks for your help. If you have better advice, I am open to any advice. Thanks Last edited by ornicar; 12-23-2021 at 01:44 PM.. |

Sorry for the very late answer. I have read the incredible fe1rx thread, but my problem is a little more specific due to the fact that i don't want (cannot due to the fact that my camber is enough) to use the m3 LCA. I am looking for a spherical bearing kit that match the OEM LCA. |

The extra camber will still only help. I run about -2.4 on the front of my car, purely street use, and get even wear. Less than -2.0 will not be nearly enough for track use, will see a lot of wear on the outside of the tire and will understeer no matter what you do.

Ok ok, thank you for your advices.
The M3 LCA seem to make a consensus ... Since I do not want to increase the camber more, I will stay with my OEM arms The car behaves very well and the tire wear is even. I recognize that today I did not do a track, my main WE roads are curvy mountain roads. |
