[e82][128i/135i] 1M replica bumper diffuser single tip exhaust

Hi everyone, been lurking here for a while. First post!

i am the proud owner of a 128i (NA woopie) but unfortunately I’ve caught the 1M bug. After considering my options the most wallet friendly option is to get a 1M replica bumper (i dont want a 1M).

Can anyone who has done this aftermarket bumper fitment comment on whether the diffuser cutout for the replica bumper can roughly accomodate the stock single twintip outlet on the 128i? I’m getting mixed reports from forums and 1series enthusiast groups - a few have commented that it fits without interference, others have commented that the twintip pushes against the 1m replica diffuser because of the closer spacing of the quad exhaust.

has anyone here retained the single twintip on the 1M rep bumper?

Thank you for your time
PS, apologies for double posting in two different subsections, I dont know how to get the other one in detailing and waxing moved/deleted!

I had a 1M rep bumper on my old 135i. There is no way it fits without modification. I'm sure a muffler shop can adjust the axle back or tips to fit though.

Hey Aceway thanks for your reply

ah i see, i didn't think it would fit either until someone on the facebook 1 series forums said the same bumper fit on 3 different 120i/118d cars (e82)
was being a bit hopeful i guess

did you do your quad tip modification before or after the 1m rep diffuser? if after, was it more of an interference squash or did it not even go on?

thanks!

It doesn't go on. I can't really speak for 128i but gonna assume it's similar. Here's a pic that might give you an idea, the replica bumper diffuser is same dimensions as oem 1m.
