Spacers - what size do you recommend?

Looking for advice/experience re what spacers to use. I'm on stock suspension.

depends on the rims... I run 20mm spacers at the rear wheels on stock 18' wheels for winter (270M)

I'm running 12mm f/r on stock wheels. I have H&R spring also... Rear rubs on big compressions and hard turns, which is amplified when anyone sits in the back. Front will rub on occasion at full lock

It looks great, but I'm getting sick and tired of the rubbing. Decided I will remove from both front and rear and stick with function over form

I recommend smaller as possible. I had 5mm on mine and didn't feel much difference or issues but before you do that google "scrub radius". You are altering the suspension geometry. The geometry is set so that the tire rotation happens at center or near by pushing it out, the tire is rotating 10-20 mm on the inside. Just google it. 20 sounds crazy to me from a performance point of view. I wouldn't go more than 10 or 11. Good luck.

On mobile here, but I had some input on spacers on the wheel/tire section a few months back. Try searching for it.

Basically, 10mm or under and you need to be concerned about tolerance for the hub flange.

I'm running 10mm ECS spacers front and rear on OE width tires. Lowered on H&R springs and have the revised front fender liners. No rubbing issues. Happy with my setup. Plus tires are coming this spring so we'll see if everything still works out.

After lots of research I used H&R 10mm front 12mm rear with stock size wheels/tires. Looks right, no rubbing.

Bumping an old thread. I'm considering adding spacers to my 1M but want to keep the suspension stock if possible.

Has anyone here added spacers on stock suspension? If so what size spacers would be appropriate. I'm worried it may make the front wheel gap look worse, but I want to enhance the width of the fender flares in the rear that get lost with the wheels tucked so far in.

I have had 3mm on stock. It looks great with little downside. 5 is the most I would do after that the steering feel takes a downgrade. It feels lighter on center heavier when turning. It's not horrible but didn't like it.

I run 10mm Eibach hubcentric spacers front and rear and have no rubbing issues at all
even when on full lock, I previously had 12mm front and rear and was getting a little rubbing on the rear over big compression.
I've run the 10mm spacers with standard suspension and with ac shnitzer rs coil overs and there's no rubbing with either.
Steering feel is unaffected and the car has slightly better turn in with the widened track.

I'm all for the most agressive look, but it seems like 10/12mm are the way to go.
