Lights!

Can anyone comment on why one side is brighter, the other dimmer? The bright side is on the driver's side (Euro spec). I fitted Angel Eyes (from Burger Tuning) a few weeks ago but since this car was purchased recently (2nd hand) I'm not sure if this fitment relates to the issue. Doubt it.

Also with Xenon's is it normal that they project an arc of light onto the lens cover itself? A clear shape is well defined. Most odd.

I don't think cosmetic modifications is the correct place for this? Point being that although I changed the H8 bulbs, I'm pretty sure this isn't the cause and therefore a more general daytime running & Xenon light issue.

Fitment could definitely relate to the issue.

Re-install the H8 bulbs as it may not be pointing to the reflector properly and hence not lighting up the entire ring

If it's a LT hand drive car, the housing is angled down and in to not blind traffic. This would appear to look like the brightness is different from certain angles.

Ps: your also further on the right side of the car while taking this photo. The angel eyes do not face directly straight so the refraction on the ring is sending light out and not towards the camera.

Thanks for your input. I swopped the bulbs around and the opposite side was dimmer / other side over-compensating by being too bright. Installed stock and perfect. So one of the 'custom' Angel Eye bulbs purchased as as a set was faulty. Burger Tuning have popped another set in the post, no questions asked. I didn't have to bother sending the faulty ones back either (nice as I live overseas). Always top class service with these guys.

Good stuff. I usually use Philips patent bulbs. It alleviates a lot of issues with bulb color issues
