Thumbs up E87 120d M Sport (New wheels fitted)

Hi guys, I'm a new member to the forum. I live in Istanbul / Turkey and I'd like to share how I modified my 05 plate E87 120d M Sport since I've bought it 2 months a go.

These are the pics of my car from the day I bought it, milleage 133000 km

My was equipped with all possible options except sunroof when it was ordered from the dealer in 2004 (M Sport package was only containing sport suspension and sport seats). It has front/rear PDC, heated sport seats with electropneumatic air cushions, auto fold up side mirrors, bixenon headlights etc.

First of all I changed the steering wheel with the M sport but couldn't find the M cover at first. I also changed the leather on the shift knob. Done some serious detailing inside with the help of a friend, you can see the dirt came out.

Tinted the windows black including the windshield. Also changed the tail lights with the LCI version (Real LED one). This requiers changing the position of the wires + adding a sixth wire to light the LEDs.

Cleaned the manifold and throttle body. Changed the crank pulley and all the filters, change the oil with Castrol EDGE and updated the software of the car with the latest version. Changed the tires with 225/45/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's and after all I was ready for the remap.

206.4 HP / 180.2 WHP / 441.5 NM

Fitted the 25W 4LED for the angel eyes (40W 4LED came out just 2 days after I ordered these!) - I'm thinking of changing these with the 40W ones as these don't get noticed on sunny days.

Covered the kidneys with glossy black vinyl and fitted not genuine M pedals with the footrest - I'm thinking of changing these with the original BMW performance ones.

Finaly I received the M sport body kit and the front bumper headlight washer parts (tubes, pumps, nozzles, covers).

Custom exhaust tip was a must for the new rear bumper

Also changed the M sport springs with the Eibach Pro Kit springs and finally received the M3 Steering wheel cover. So here are the final photos;

I know the car needs 18" rims but as M sport E87 & E82 & E83 1 series are very hard to find in Turkey, it's impossible to find compatible rims (in means of ET) in stores. Only way it to order from the dealer which costs 2550 Eur for 18" 261M double spokes

When I change the rims I'll also change the suspension with a coilover kit or just the springs with Eibach Sportlines but I guess this will be next year.

Thanks in advance for your valuable comments and advises.

Thanks my friend. Today I've got the 18x8 et43 replica wheels fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tires

front 225/40/18
rear 235/40/18

Lots of improvement in handling after 17x7 et47 wheels, especially at high speeds

I really don't have any idea. As it was impossible to find ET40+ replica wheels in my country, I just bought them when I found as I was checking the stores since 2 months.

Did you like the styling? Dealer told me it had just arrived, probably it's a new model replica.

Love the style, that's why I asked what the brand was.
