Tickets Full-price ticket: € 13.00 http://www.ferrari.com/English/about_ferrari/Ferrari-Museum/General-Information/Pages/How_reach_museum.aspx The other day I was going thru some of my old photos and thought maybe some of you guys would like to see the famous Ferrari Museum. I really can not believe I was there so long ago. These photos were taken in 2003 – but knowing how the Italians work… I bet the museum has not changed much. When I went there… the museum had just opened. Maranello is closed to Modena on the A1 Autostrada. From Munich it is probably about a five hour car drive. I really love driving in Italy. I think it would make a great ED trip. Maserati and Lamborghini are also close by. Both have museums open to the public. I have never been to them though. It is on my bucket list though! One thing that is interesting is the Maserati Museum is also a Panni (sandwhich) museum, hence the name. http://www.maserati.com/maserati/en/en/index/passion/company/panini-museum.html Lamborghini Musuem http://www.visit-lamborghini.com/#museum I think this summer I will try to go see all three museums. Should make for a nice road trip. Onto my photos… Enjoy, Dackel The Ferrari Museum… Enzo… What a work of art… Betcha didn’t know they made a boat! Formula 1 cars… Enzo’s desk… And the Gift Shop... Down the street from the museum is a new condo complex and (another) Ferrrari Store... it’s located just across the street from the factory’s main entrance. Toys for little kids… And older ones… And some more toys for bigger boys… Two wheeled Ferrari’s in the store’s window… And the Ferrari factory located across the street from the F-store… This is the real traffic light on the public street that runs along the factory’s front gate… And the famous restaurant across from the factory gate… Ende. I just thought I would share with you this cool book...
I bought this book for a Ferrari friend of mine. But once I flipped thru the pages, I just had to buy a copy for myself! I think it is no longer sold as new, but you can still find it on Amazon and the web. I just thought I would share some old school pics with you. I just love how proud this Ferrari test driver looks in this photo! |

A few weeks ago I paid another visit to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello. The museum has changed a little bit as have some of the displays.
Also in the city of Modena, there is another Ferrari Museum. In Modena, is where Enzo had his first mechanic garage located. It was from here he worked on his race cars. In the end he sold the land/house for a race car. Today there is a very nice museum dedicated to the early car's Enzo raced. I liked this museum more than the one in Maranello. Also now in Maranello, are a lot of these cafe's with Ferrari's parked outside. You can rent a fairly new Ferrari for a "short' test drive. These places seemed kind of weird to me... like they were praying on Ferrari fans to steal them away from the "official" museum. Be careful when you go for a visit. Ok, onto my photos... special Ferrari bus that takes you inside the factory gates to see the buildings where the cars are made. But it never stops! So I did not do that tour.

New 2nd Ferrari Museum in downtown Modena... aka Enzo Museum...
A short drive(15 min) from the Ferrari factory and museum is a brand new Ferrari Museum in Modena. It is called: Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari Modena. And it is located next to Enzo's garage where he built his first race cars. This is the epe center or Mecca of Ferrari-ista's. The museum is really, really nice. It has a very Germanic feel to it. The new museum just opened in March of this year.

I hope this newer one is better. I made the pilgrimage to marenello last year and paid for the bus tour. I was a bit disappointed with the bus tour but the museum is worth the trip. You never know what you may see in my case after the bus tour I watched a vintage pre WWII grand prix car make several laps. The sounds were glorious as the driver ripped off heel toe downshifts.

I always enjoy visiting Northern Italy anytime I can get the chance! The new Enzo Ferrari Museum(address bellow) in Modena is quite nice. I also visited Lambo and a private Maserati/Panni Museum. Now THAT place was my favorite. I still have to upload my pics on those two museums. Lamborghini Musuem is only about a 20 minute drive from Ferrari. Lamborghini Museum Tour... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=766391

Have a look on Peter Vack's wonderful site... http://www.velocetoday.com/maserati-at-enzo-ferrari/
