Drove it!

Finally! The broken power steering pump mount bolts debacle is in my past!

Thank goodness for working at home! I had the time to take everything apart, decide what all I needed, order parts, order more parts, get a few other things to do while I was all up in there. And then when I went to hook up the engine support bar I learned that the X1 has different tow hooks than the 135, and waited another week for a new tow hook to come in... In other news I'm on first name basis with FCP Euro now....

Was amazed at how easy to use the Harbor Freight engine support beam thing was to use, and overall just how easy it was to drop the front subframe!

Used reverse (left hand) drill bits on the sections of broken bolts and they came right out. Front one was super easy once the IC, Radiator & AC Condenser were all out of the way. Side one needed the subframe dropped and a 90* drill head adapter to access, but once there it came right out too.

Dropping the subframe creates a ton of room. Really really wish I had done my oil pan gasket and water pump & thermostat all myself instead of wimping out and paying a shop cause I didn't want to deal with the subframe. I'm certain they were the ones who caused all this trouble...

Installed some ECS exact fit stainless steel brake lines, bled the system with motul RBF600, and threw on some solid aluminum trans mounts I had laying around that never made it onto the e46 M. The lines were a huuuge improvement over stock.

Too cheap to buy blackline tailights as its something id never see, but never liked the bright red lights on the back. So I just bought some light smoke tint and covered the 3 lights. Figured if I didn't like it I'd just rip it off. But I think I like it, ill give it a week and then make a decision.
It is a weird shape to wrap, and has a flat spot on the turn, that I never noticed before, but was much easier than the carbon fiber on the mirror caps.
