HK Issues Please Help!
I noticed that the sound was very "tinny" in my 1M once I had actually decided to listen to it rather than enjoying the engine note!. I was under the impression that there should be sub woofers under the front seats and 4 speakers in the back and 4 speakers in the front. I think I might have half of a HK system, could there be an installation issue? I have booked the car in with my dealer tomorrow but would be extremely grateful if someone could take some real life photos of what I should expect to see so I am better placed to discuss with dealer tomorrow.

Go to the owner's manual, and look up how to set the equalizer. It really helped when I changed the settings to my liking. There are an amazing amount of settings you have control over. Once set to the way I like it - it really sounds amazing.

I didn't get a HK owners manual and when I asked my dealer he replied the HK doesn't come with a manual which I find hard to believe but if anyone can confirm otherwise I would be grateful. Also I do not appear to have rear speakers or subs under the front seats which is why some 1M installation photos would be realy useful.

If you did not get a manual for the HK radio, then I would go back to the dealer and ask for one. It should have been in your manuals when you picked up the car.

I have two speakers near the front window with the logo on, two in each door, two on the floor/footwell in either side if front seats and two large speakers in rear parcel shelf. I take it the rear one contain two speakers each? |

I asked my dealer today also, as i didnt have a manual either.
HK apparently doesnt come with a manual. Not sure why you'd need one to be honest. Setting up the equalizer will be based on preference anyhow... |

Interesting that the UK cars evidently do not come with a manual for the HK sound system. I will check my books tomorrow for the HK manual. There are so many options that I was unaware of had the salesman not demonstrated them when I picked up the car.
