Biggest Stock Problem N55 JB4

I just picked up a JB4 for my stock 135 and plan on running Map 5 once its installed. What are the main stock components that may have an issue/may need an upgrade once i run the JB? I've read that the charge pipe may be the first thing to have an issue, wondering what else you guys have seen.

Thanks!

First thing anyone should do with the car stock or tuned is to replace the charge pipe. We send out 1-2 a week to people who's cars are stranded because of their charge pipe exploding. We've even had a few who lost their TMAP sensors as a result which is an expensive fix as you have to buy the sensor from the dealer.

I'd run map1 until you have bolt-ons installed also.

changing the CP is a good preventive measure. Other components that will help the car make power easier: DPs, FMICs, Intake. Plus it's the right season to buy parts

As more of a preventative measure or can stock not handle map 5?

Yea just as preventative. I personally did charge pipe and downpipe before bumping up to map5 and I have had absolutely no problems at all.

I'm sure there's a lot of people that push the limit and run map5 stock, without issue. Your driving habits play a role in this all too

Thinking about running map 5 so I can get the adaptive response, but limiting the boost to 13 psi for now until I decide if I want to upgrade my CP or DP
