Bmw 1M b58 swap

Hey guys! I have a 2012 bmw 1M, but unfortunately i need to do some maintenance to the engine and repairs, it has a n55, but i also have a 2017 m240i that i had a big crash earlier this year, but the engine and gearbox are not affected, and i want to swap the 1M with the b58 and i need some help with that, can someone give me more information about it? Like what engine mounts do i need for it, what manual gearbox (i want to swap the 8 speed zf from the b58 with a manual, and the manual in the n55 can`t support the amount of torque that the b58 has), driveshaft, etc. Thank you!

So, the 1M has an N54. The B58 DME isn't going to play nice with the whole rest of the car. You'd likely have to swap over almost everything from 240 and try to get everything to work with the 1M. Mechanicals will not be your issue with this.

I know the electrical parts are the most annoying part of this swap, but i also am trying to know about the engine mounts, gearbox, driveshaft, etc.

Put it in there and see how things line up. There is no platform that had both the N54 and B58 so you're just going to have to see how things fit. If I had to guess I'd guess the mounts, trans, and driveshaft would all be from the 1M. The I6 engines have had the same bolt housing since the Mxx engines but I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it for the B58.

Use realoem.com to see what parts they have in common.

You might call VAC and see if something like the SYVECS ECU will work with B58.

Yea but n55 is present in the 2012 135i, same as in 235i so they might be the same mounts. Also the transmission would not work because of the lack of handling the torque... so i need to swap it for a more competent one... My b58 had 500 hp and 700 nm on the car, and i want to near that with this swap.

Found a standalone that is working with the car, SCS delta gdi6 ecu direct injection, seen it on 3 swaps already (1 e36 and 2 e46)
