EGR Valve, car not on recall list, can I still get it fixed by BMW?

Hallo,

Apologies I did search for this topic but couldn't find a thread.

I'm based in the UK and I have the E82 123D manufactured Feb 2011 and the EGR valve has gone. The garage has advised me to ring BMW and try and get it replaced via the recall on EGR valves.

I've checked online and my car isn't listed as requiring a recall on the BMW website and other websites say the recall is for 4 cylinder 1 series manufactured after March 2011!

Has anyone managed to get a recall fix with these circumstances (no recall notice issued), to me the February engine and the March engine would be the same surely (N47)?
