Finally!
Swapped out everything but the springs. They're fine OE and Genuine everything, mounts, perches, bolts, m sport shocks, swaybar links, etc. The refreshed suspension feels incredible, like a new car. Front strut top mounts were definitely worn and causing some crashiness. Ball joints in the sway bar links were shot as well. Rear shocks are nearing end of life. What surprised me was the excellent condition of all factory parts, including the fact that the front shocks were still in great shape. Took the time to spray some Fluid Film as well, just in case. Found a great car that hasn't been winter driven No rust!! All of the original parts. Back together. |

I gained ~5mm up front, no change in the rear. I'm pretty pleased, figured it'd be worse. |

I want to buy a spare bumper to use while mine is out for paint and PPF (need to wait at least 4 weeks for paint to cure before PPF applied). I plan to take it to: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dupon...9015613685966/ |

I wonder what's your go-to spot to get parts from? Are you getting them directly from BMW? I'm located in Ottawa btw.
I admire the effort you're putting into your 135, not many people put this much effort in their 15 year old cars. Did you do most of the work yourself? Or do you have a mechanic helping you? I'm debating changing some parts on my 135, but kinda scared to screw anything up. |
