They are simply different part numbers. What you need is the 13N, it is good in stock.

Quaife works with one tire on snow/dirt/ice

For those who think the Wavetrac is superior to Quaife when one wheel is in dirt/snow/ice, here is what one of my E46 3-series customer had to say:

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showpos...0&postcount=53

Yes, with one wheel on snow and one on asphalt, the Quaife was working and the car accelerated from a stop as it should.

I had my QUAFE LSD fitted yesterday and what a difference. well worth the change from stock. 3 hours later I had the GIAC remap done too and I'm glad I had the Quaife fitted first. Awesome .....

Oh...

So anything starting in 2011 has the welded gear then. Bummer. Still not sure how the cost rises that much. There's no way to send one in and get it mod'ed for less?
That difference in price kills it for me.

All the manual and DCT135i's came with a welded ring gear.

You can send us your final drive for modification. It will run you around $2650 in machine work and setup, that price includes the Quaife LSD.

Alternatively, we will have the 2.56 DTC final drives on exchange bases very soon!
