Steering wheel

Anyone else surprised/appalled that BMW didn’t make the MSport steering wheel standard issue on the 1M? The size and perforations are one of my favorite features of the MSport package on the 128/135s

No. The M3 got the same wheel and the 1M was a back to basics car so it makes sense a basic purposeful M wheels was the right one. Also the digital one would also not fit the ethos of the car as the base wheel in my humble opinion.

It's' all subjective. I personally don't care for the perforations. I actually picked up an M3 steering wheel on eBay to replace the MSport, and like it a lot better. I couldn't tell any difference in size between the two.

Napa on the M wheel is much nicer I think. Got a new cover with Napa/perf Napa and it's awesome.

Never understood the point of the digital BMWP wheel. Guess the cluster tach and noise isn't enough?
