DCT shifter
Ok I'm tired of the ugly stick that all the automatic/DCT 1ers come with but I'm not seeing many options, anyone have links?? I was talking to 2 dealers about the M3 knob but they say it won't work in our car, if you know it will let me know as well because I like that one.

Here is one option I've seen: http://www.motivemods.com/BMWRetrofi...mm-sst-m10.htm
In Action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=CbqnfYu-gek Couple things to note
I went with the OEM gloss black knob which isn't nearly as exciting Last edited by Adam135; 12-21-2013 at 10:50 PM.. |

The only one I ever thought might work would be the carbon fiber M5 performance DCT shifter, but don't know if it would work, not sure it really is THAT much better, and if it would require some kind of modification to fit. They're subtly different and better looking, but may not really solve the issues you're having that you want to improve.
It's been discussed before, but don't think anybody has ever tried it. |

This is the company that made a plug and play retrofit kit for the steptronic so I am certain they could make it for the DCT. On the steptronic each individual light illuminates as it should. I am not sure of the specific limitations with the dct but it is worth a shot. |

Well tonight I had a few drinks and got bored.. decided to throw a few coats of plasti-dip on the fugly silver trim ring.. I can deal with the shifter but the ring had to go. I think it looks 100% better..

That looks real nice. Did you pull the trim off or tape off the area and spray. Looks much better than stock.
