Chicago Walnut Blasting?
Is anyone familiar with a shop in the Chicago area that is able to do walnut blasting now that VS isn't around? I just got my car back from having both turbos replaced under warranty, due to wastegate rattle, and thought that it might be a good idea to look into having the intake valves walnut blasted. I am fairly certain that my local dealer (BMW of Schererville) doesn't provide the walnut blasting service.

Thanks!
I checked out their website. I am thinking about giving them a call. Has anyone done business with them? I work in Burr Ridge, so they wouldn't be too far for me to travel. The price certainly seems right. |

Where in Burr Ridge do you work? I live there!
Edit: You wouldn't happen to be the AW 135i I always see driving on Plainfield in the afternoon, would you? |

Right around Five Seasons? Hmm... I have never seen a BSM. So weird that someone from Indiana out of all people works in BR.

I just wanted to give an update. I went to see the guys at A-Spec on Friday and they took really good care of me. Price was $300. It took about 2 hours. I am really happy with the work they did. My car had the turbos replaced under warranty right at 59000 miles. I am now at 60000 miles, and the walnut blasting was a great idea to compliment my fresh turbos. My 1er is now breathing easy. I would definitely recommend A-Spec for anyone looking to get the walnut blasting service done.
