High HP Clutch
Hi guys, I have a full bolt on with Pure Stage 2 DD turbos, high flow LPFP and e85 etc. I run 305 width Bridgestone RE 71-R's so lots of traction.
I was not looking to make peak power out of this setup as think more than 550hp is unmanageable/unproductive with such a short wheelbase. I currently have a stock drive train with exception of a OEM 550 clutch with 15,000 miles and it slips as i get above 19 psi. I love the feel of the clutch now and its a weekend hot rod/track day car so if needed can deal with some increase in noise and stiffness but would love to remain as close to stock feel with as little extra chatter or issues of the like as possible, any recommendations for what upgraded clutch to get to handle 500-550hp regularly and the potential to get close to 600hp? Appreciate it as always! Spencer

Thank you- any downside? How's pedal feel and noise vs stock?

Hi Spencer, I run the Pure Stage 2 Turbos (Hi-Flo) since 2015, not very sure about my whp but my 1M is consistently running 5.8s 100-200s. Currently i have the Spec Stage 3+ with MFactory SMFW and it runs very well. probably you can consider that set up too! Pedal is similar to stock, a little lighter so it is easier for daily driving. The M Factory SMFW is made out of Chromoly steel, so the chatter is quite minimal. |

Thank you guys, got side tracked with another project. Back at the 1M, I have the RB stage 2 DD or low flow/daily drivers. It's a weekend hot rod, and 5 track days a year, probably gets more track mileage than street to be realistic but I don't consider myself a hard core track guy, I also only run about 20 psi as don't want heat soak. Think stage Spec 3 or stage 2 for 20-22psi RB Daily Driver turbos?
Thinking Stage 2 is plenty as these turbos should max out at 600whp, and i don't max them out. Getting the m factory flywheel with it, you guys see a nice upgrade in responsiveness over 1M's slightly upgraded flywheel?

Thinning of going w stick flywheel and spec stage 2, any big reason to do the flywheel? Thinking I'd rather not have the chatter.

If you're planning north of 550 I'd go twin disk. Xclutch is the best on the market.
