What purpose do those ear weights even serve on our Brembos? The calipers look so much better without them.

And... Did a leak test with my garden hose now that it's been 24h since the sealant went in... NO LEAKS.
Installing the 1M headliner tomorrow morning as early as I can get up. Gotta get it done fast in time to cook.

I don't know if you guys with convertibles have seen these but there is a rack solution for our cars. the rack uses suction cups like those used in action movie scenes so no hooks etc to scratch the paint.
I bought it last summer but did not try it until last week that I needed to get some tires to the shop for mounting. I have to report that it worked fine even at highway speeds. looking forward to trying some snowboard-carrying this winter |

Not yet. Know a couple others with them removed for a few thousand miles, no issues.

It is a small British company. I had very good experience communicating with them. the suction cups have little pumps that evacuate the air inside and they are very steady. |

Slicktop 1M headliner is installed. Got all the electronics working except my center some light which has a totally different plug and pinout. Gonna have to research that.

The not fitting with helmet is really the only bad thing about these cars.
I don't want to loose the sunroof. So I just slump and lean. Feels wrong but I'm just out for fun stuff, non-competitive. If I where doing competition, I'd ditch the crappy seat and the sunroof. I keep an ear open for the bmw performance seats. Affordable ones will come up eventually. |

Installed a reverse camera for shits and giggles. Pretty straightforward and easy DIY.

Bought from the linked seller (Autofocus Tech on eBay) and followed this DIY. Everything is the same as E9X.

For the 128i guys who installed an E90 auto diff, are these the specs to fully bolt-on to a 6MT car?
It will be taken from a 07-10 E90 automatic sedan with 3.73 gearing. Found a listing on the bidding site... Thanks for any help. Envy to all the guys who can shell out $3K on Diffsonline or PG units. |

Hey man thanks for the advice as always. So this is as easy as taking off the the old one and replacing w this 3.73 one? Can’t be that easy right? Want to make sure the shafts will fit and there won’t be any issue..
And to do this right, the new 3.73 diff has to be refreshed first, right? Like fresh fluids and all that? What do you recommend for fluids? Used to have Redline MTL in my open diff. I’ve seen people use a different diff cover for cooling, will that be possible for a used diff ( found one from a 07-10 auto 328i as said in OP). |

I'd just use a normal 75w-90 gear oil for it, that's what I have in mine right now, and it just doesn't make a difference. Using special fluids is a way of fine-tuning an LSD if it needs it, but an open diff has no need of it. There's a finned diff cover from the E60 5-series. Suprgnat has a thread on it. I put it on my second LSD. It was on the car for less than a week before I installed my third diff. Oof...
