128i 1M clone N52 FBO with full E85 + POV blue ridge VIDEOS!
Hey all, some of you have been following my build with the 128i
BPC and I took the 128i to another level with S65 fuel injectors and full E85. In the video I still have secondary cats, which didnt last more than a day. Maddad midpipe on order! Here is a video of the car on the Dyno for E85 We managed to squeeze out 252whp in 100* index climate, when I revisit the dyno in the fall I will have a euro airbox and catless midpipes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ncs2Sm3y0Hw ADDITIONAL POV video driving on the blue ridge parkway prior to tuning for E85. This was on 93 pump gas, making 248whp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09cFeVym_0I |

And don’t bother with a retune until you have MILVs. |

The plan is to do MILV's in the future but I have a few other things I need to focus on first (oil pan gasket, clutch upgrade, exhaust, rear end bushings). I want to hit 300whp NA with it before it pops! |

I'm curious about the S65 injectors. Are the stock ones not able to provide enough fuel, or is there another reason?

Wow impressive car.
At what point are the stock injectors the limiting factor? |

You would want the car tuned for the new injectors yes, but why would you? Unless you're supercharged (and the ESS blower comes with them) or you're looking for a custom tune, don't bother.

Hmm. So, basically, when my injectors die, I can install S65 injectors, and then be ready for any extra power mods I might do in the future? Interesting...

Hi,
i believed that the N52 injectors pattern was really special & specicific, isn't it? https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...068208&page=20 Are the S65 injectors a real update for an Ethanol filled N52? Thank you |

OK
Thank you for your answer. I see on ETKA that they are some Bosch (BOSCH 0280158164) So the S65 injectors are probably the secret ones used on superchaged N52. Good to know! maybe it is a little upgrade for E85 fuel. "-Larger Bosch fuel injectors with identical spray pattern and angle as OEM to ensure 100% perfect driveability with valvetronic reduced valve lift." https://esstuning.com/ess-n52-vt1-su...-system-gen-2/ |

What other mods do you have? 3S or N54 intake manifold? Headers? Lightweight flywheel?
Thanks, Mark

We checked the car on the dyno, AFR flat as can be and running safely. Going back for check up on dyno after installing catless resonated midpipe, new all four O2 sensors, plugs, and fluid flushes next week.
