So had a friend call me frantically last week while at work but was tied in meetings all day. When I finally was clear I give him a call and he says: "Bro, I got you a set of wheels!"

He got these offered with some beater tires which still have some life in them. Wheels are clean no bends cracks or curb rash.

D-Force 17 x 8.5 +40 square setup on Hankook RS3 245's

16 lbs each..

Will wash the car and get some better pics..

Hahahahaha

Ok so they have been on a couple of days. There is a slight rubbing in front when at speed going over dips or uneven surfaces but nothing crazy.

But to be fair, my APEX with 235s in front rub a bit also.

I will be rolling my fenders soon but they definitely fit better than I expected and they look solid also.

Yeah I'm impressed they work at all! I think 225 is as far as you can go in the front without any rubbing, but some here and there isn't so bad.

Thanks! These were the biggest setup Expert@ApexRaceParts recommended for the 1 series.

They are 18x8.5 ET45 Front and 18x9.5 ET58 Rear.

With 235/40/18 Front and 265/35/18 Rear

The ones I picked up to Autocross the car are running 245s so wanted to clear a bit more so I just finished rolling the fenders.

As noted 4 1ers showed up.

When you're ready to sell for a 1M give me a call so I can reap the rewards of your efforts LOL.

But seriously, a 135i, 1M, and M2 Comp would fill all right right holes in life wouldn't it????

I actually am happy with the 1er and I think the M2 Competition will fill the slot of the weekend toy well. That would have been the slot the 1M would have filled.

What I actually need is some more old school in my life.

My garage would be complete with a 2002 and an E30 M3!

Don't remind me. There was a 2002 for sale down the street from me for $5k that I very nearly pulled the trigger on. If I wasn't in an apartment, I'd have been all over it!

Also, I appreciate your devotion to coupes! Who needs 4 doors lol

My love for coupes lately stems from having a 2008 Acura TL as a daily from Oct 2008 to July 2016.. now looking to enjoy small coupes.

And you should be beating yourself for letting the 2002 pass..

Last BMWCCA lunch I organized a 2002 came out and it's for sale at 28K and I am strongly considering it but not having a huge garage is killing me!

Speaking of interior. I took care of a couple items that were bugging me.

The trunk release button was looking bad with the black discoloring so found a replacement for it.

Also sourced a stock dead pedal from the E9X M3 which shares part number with the E82.

Don't know exactly which cars had the dead pedal and which didn't.
