Question September iDrive updates question

I've seen information on other BMW model forums regarding the September updates to the iDrive, but no real discussion on this forum.

I have ordered a 135 with Nav (went into production last week) and figured I would certainly get the new iDrive updates, however, I've read (for other models) that your build sheet needs to have "6VC Combox Controller" on it to confirm you'll get the new hardware required for the September updates. I do not have this listed on my build sheet.

Can anyone comment or confirm any of this?

thanks.

You will only get the Combox if you ordered Assist or the iPod/USB as well.

Thanks. Since the iPod is part of the value package which is included, and I ordered premium, guess I'm good to go.

confirmation on the build sheet isn't necessary? Sure would make me feel better.

As long as your production date is 09/10-on then your car will have the Combox. The TCU and the MULF modules are being phased out.

If still in doubt then request another official factory build sheet from your dealer and do not let them bullshit you until you see the 6VC listed. There was some 6VC delays until week 37 according to reports so it could be possible that your initial build sheet is simply old.
