sat radio song select
My old $99 XM Roady2 was able to store upto 10 songs and would beep and take you to the appropriate station if any of the stored songs were being played. Does the bimmer sat radio have the equivalent capability? I haven't seen anything in the manuals to suggest it does. But, these manual are sometimes out-of-date.

The nav system on the iDrive is crappier than a $99 Garmin, and the sat radio doesn't have the features of a $59 sat receiver. Amazing.

'11 w/nav Sep. '10 build.
Got mine this past Saturday, and just found this out this afternoon. When listening to Sat and you want to save the artist or song (I think you have to be on the sat radio screen) press down on the iDrive controller and it will ask you what you want to save (artist, song), I was only looking for artist so I didn't try to save both. This will be saved to the Favorites Category. Reading the manual you can save a maximum of 30, artists, songs, games, league and team. When listening to sat radio and the favorites category is selected the screen will be populated with the favorites you selected as they are broadcasted from Sirius. I have not seen what happens when the nav is selected, but assume that a message will appear on the top of the screen. |
