BMW Indicator Rapid Flash
- hi,
I have a fault on my 2007 series 120d, just bought second hand at the auction, the Light bulb with a ! in it appears and the indicators flash rapidly both sides when opperated - Hazards are fine, changed all bulbs except side repeaters and still the same fault, No fault codes found. I have been told it may be the Light control module.(removed the LCM and PDC and reconnected). Also all the bulbs are standard and the correct wattage - connectuions are fine. I also added an extra 21w bulb and removed one still the same fault. This will stopping me getting an MOT i presume. - left the battery disconnected overnight and still the same fault - removed the LCM from this car another German circuit to complicate basics.Part number 6135 9153778-01 SW:53061 / HW: 05. - if the hazards are on the indicators work and flash correctly - however as soon as i cancel the indicators the hazards come back on, so wondering if there is some link. It gets worse disconnected the box under the fusebox and now more warning lights and it wont start ( ki also see a yellow car symbol on a ramp) - i have to be honest the build quality is a long way from volkswagen and Audi. Fuse box no proper diagram which fuse does what?? - and to put it where you can't get too Battery in the Boot . Any way there has to be some way to pair up the ECU i presume its that under the fuse box?? Any help would be appreciated and may put some faith in the BMW 120d. kind regards Sc00ter |

Can't help here, but maybe if you get a 1M, that might fix the problem.
Just trying to keep it forum specific... |

Lets start with the SIMPLE things first.
When you turn on your hazard lights have you walked around the car to see IF they are all working/flashing? IF one is out you will not hear the relay click faster. It only clicks faster when you use the turn signal stalk. Its probably one of your light bulbs that is out. Of course it could be other things like an flasher ECU. |
