Two weeks w/ the new car. Coming off an an old A4 1.8T.
This morning, I back out of the garage & sit in the driveway a bit to let the car warm up while I enjoy the heated seats & the new heated steering wheel.

Normally, I'd look down at the Audi dash & check the car temp before taking off. Well, on the bimmer, I didn't find one. Nor did I find an oil temp gauge or, a battery gauge??? Where did the gauges/info go? Is it part of the engine check? How do I access it?

No temps on a 128.

The 1 series is at a massive lack of gauges...even in the 135 we only get a oil temp.

Is there any way to get that info? Can you use the electronic systems check?

Its in the easter egg menu. I dont know how to get there but there are a few DIYs floating around.
