Range High Score <<<<<<<<<<<<<
I would like to start a competition to see who can/has achieved the highest Range (Miles left in tank) on each type of car.
I dont know about you but I choose to keep 'Range' displayed on my computer all the time. Curiously your Range can increase even whilst driving as its is constantaly recalculated on something like the previous 15-18 miles. If you drive carefully over that period and fill up you will get a really good figure. Even then if you continue to drive carefully it can go higher still. Eventually the nature of moving the car depletes the tank and the inevitable fall starts. My display normally shows around the 390-400 mark but filling the tank the other day it jumped to 460/0. I thought I would see what I could get. I drove slowly for 25 miles then filled up again. Drove slowly a little more and achieved 502/2.5, 502 miles remaining with 2.5 miles driven, not bad. So here we go... European 325 : 502/2.5 beat that. |

MMVI, I can hit almost 400, but then I drive agressively and drops pretty quickly. Question, I can also hit 500 miles if I just reset the system and coast downhill on a highway in neutral at about 60mph right after refueling and then look at the milage left. So unless you base that average over "X" amount of miles, then pretty useless. I'm doing anywhere from 360-400 miles based upon 6,500 miles (I never reset the computer).

And now for something completely different :
I admit that I really do not pay attention to consumption, except to note that the harder I press the gas the more that little needle under my tach goes to the right That's what happens when you live in an oilsheikdom. |

320d M Sport Which has been in to our workshop and is now running around 215bhp,
Filled up over the weekend at the services on the M6 Toll road computer said 514miles in tank, when I exited the motorway it was showing 510 in tank, Strange thing is I came off at manchester airport which is about 80miles away from services. So I got better performance than a 330d and can get the best part of 600 miles to a tank. :rocks: |

My US 330i 6MT is reading a bit over 300 with maybe 30 miles into the tank. Most of my driving is around town (tons of stop signs) so it's usually not even that high. Supposedly mpg gets a lot better after break in, so hopefully i'll start seeing some better mpg figures.

I did some country driving a couple of weeks ago and the car returned 7.8l/100kms. I covered 660kms with plenty of petrol to spare.

My NEW 325i with Prem & sport pkg on winter tires Blzk's and I have 690km(431.25 miles) for the range on my last fill sitting still and even ground. The numbers do change depending how the sensor reads your tank etc.. I have 895km's (560miles) on it now, getting 20.4mpg(mostly city), to this point. Changing over to summer performance RFT that originally came with the car next week. Might see better mileage numbers after the switch out!
Hope that helps some!!

It happened to me all the times when I drove back to my parents' house: getting more than 500 every time. That's because it's only freeway miles and I cruised during the weekends with no trafic and the ave. speed of 75mph.

Slightly less than 180 on a full tank from Lux.sh, Superb... You are clearly doing somthing right.
From everyone else especially the regularly over 500 guys, I'm impressed. It was a first for me. |

Euro 325i Manual, saw 563 miles remaining after a good 30 miles driven, computer readout 44mpg. I remember because I had a long trip ahead of me so I set the radio so it would display all the computer readouts whilst I drove up. |
