From *WTB* to owning a 1M
My original message below: A member responded and now I have a 1M.
Like the title says I "want to buy" a 1M. I have emailed a few listings on Auto sites, and contacted a couple of dealers as well, but I have been a member on bimmerpost for almost 9 years and would love to find one (here) with another member. I have done transactions with other members in the past and have had great results and a good time meeting and discussing cars. Please PM me and we can get the process going. Thanks!! I searched all over the internet, finding some options to purchase, but it was due to to this thread on Bimmerpost that allowed the purchase to take place.
To those looking, keep looking, many sellers just need the garage space, want to try something new, or have other aspirational goals that would make it logical to sell. About the car - 23k miles, BSM, (I really wanted BSM), good history, thoughtful and meticulous current owner who was great to work with. The car was located in close proximity. I have already done a fair amount of driving and it is a different experience than my previous M2 and My current F80. I was fortunate enough in the last 24 hours to drive 'spiritedly' the following F80 M3, F87 M2 and E82 1M... all are fantastic and all have characteristics that make them unique, so it has been a great driving day, also a great way for me to study the nuances of the 1M. Congrats again, and thanks for sharing pictures and info. Low mileage, local, and ideal color. Sounds like you couldn't have been luckier.

I will say .. if I only had one garage spot... or had to switch to one car .. an F80 M3 would be what I would have , since there is no E36/E46/E90 sized RWD M2 Sedan. |
