RB turbo users...

soon ill install the rb but i have some questions...

if i buy the G5 is it gonna be like the G4 with stock turbos setting?

let's say i have rb and i choose map2 in the G5 is it 14.5 psi on pump or the boost is higher for the rb?

also map7 is it the same 16.5 psi or higher boost

actually im confused

The G5 has no idea you have different turbos. Your best bet will be to use map5 and let it auto tune.

I don't have the answers to your questions but I think you should ask them on the other n54 forum . Terry and Rob are very active over there.

That been said, I'm curious to see if the DCT handles the extra power!

Yes. Let the car idle for a little till it gets to a steady 600+/- RPM and drive it around for like 15 minutes with the new fuel in before going WOT. I have been wondering about the auto-tune map for RB turbos as well...because in the future I will have them

I know the G5 has better isolated boost control, so if you plan on going into the 15-18psi range, i would go with the G5, assuming you have all other bolt ons already.

Thats not to say that the RBs wont still out perform the stock turbos on Map2, you might get better breathing in the upper end of the rev range, so more power potential.

Is there any reason you arent going with an Access Port over the JB? Unit to unit alone, the JB probably makes more power, but if you get your car tuned with the AP by a 3rd party tuner, you can make really really nice, smooth power.

JB4 has map 6 which is a custom tuning map as well

maybe ill buy the G5 it's not pricey.
i know with a 3rd party tuner it will perform better, i don't want to spend more money, RB with JB4 enough to make me

also terry offers cobb with free maps, for bigger turbos i think it doesn't worth the money.

Cool, I'll await for the next thread that you create after you get your rb's on asking the people here why your transmission is slipping.

Exactly!

The autotune is far from optimal. Its essentially what your ECU does anyway... I would not recommend doing that.
