High end sub and enclosure for 135i

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
This is an awesome setup that I had in my bmw 08' 135i for just a few months. The fiberglass box was professionally painted black saphire metallic. It was installed and fabricated by Rolling Thunder in San-Rafael, they are known for their award winning car audio department. I still have the receipt. The custom box gives the ability to still have trunk space instead of filling up your trunk with heavy wood boxes. It looks incredibly slick and very sharp, almost looks OEM it's so seamless. I would imagine it would still look great on a non-BSM 135, and there's always the option to have it painted again at a body shop. Here is the lowdown for what I paid:

12" MOREL ULTIMO 12 CARBON FIBRE SUBWOOFER- $899.95

CUSTOM FIBERGLASS SUB BOX BUILT TO FIT IN A 135i- $1500

SUB BOX PRIMER / PAINT- $250

SUB BOX PAINT PREP- $50

The sub weighs 15.8 lbs and the box weighs 16.9 lbs for a total of 32.7 lbs. Not bad for the high quality low end it delivers.

This very high quality sub and box cost me a total of $2699 before installation and was only used for about two months, it just got broken in really. Letting it go for less than half-price, shipping included anywhere in the continental US. I put this system in when I had about 2k miles and I sold my car last year when it had 4.5k miles just to give an idea of how little use it has had. I sold my 135 since I am trying to buy a house and needed less debt on my credit or else I would have kept this awesome setup.

Feel free to check my ebay profile, Neeko415, to see my positive feedback ratings. I pack very well and ship fast with tracking numbers. My number one priority is to make sure the people I do transactions with are 100% satisfied.

Let me know if you have any questions, thanks 415 279 2697 Nick

Why do people feel the need to even post info like that? "You got ripped off"? "... I got something I like better for cheaper..."? Really?

If you don't like the price or don't want to buy it, just click on the little X at the top right of the screen. The 16 year old Civic drivers on the local forum I admin have more class than some of the people here.

its has nothing to do w/ being classy or not, its about warning other members who may not know, that paying such amount is beyond ridiculous and better version could be had for much less

if you like the civic forums so much, dont let the door hit you on your way out

Ahh, so that's your role here, now I get it. Patrol the F/S section and give your opinion on the prices of things. Warn others, because no one else can have an opinion or do a simple search for themselves. Thank god you keep people from getting ripped off because we all know there are so many victims here anxious to be screwed. I mean - just look at how many people showed interest in this in the last 2 weeks. It's amazing!

Thread crapping is thread crapping, and you are guilty, call it what else you want. Most forums don't tolerate it. Most people understand the general concept. For example the younger members on my local forum. Not a Civic forum, just that a lot of local enthusiasts happen to own them. As well as Bimmers, VW's, Vette's and other american muscle, etc. We have all types, all ages, and they all have more class than you. Yes that's what it is, check out the definition if you'd like.

Right on Tracer Bullet, appreciate having a voice of reason around here.

Sucks to see the level of respect around here sometimes, totally adds to that whole "bmw snobbery" that comes with the brand.

I personally don't think I paid too much and would much rather have something built by an award winning car audio department than by some guy making boxes in his garage. And I can't believe some members really think 1300 for this barely used setup is "being ridiculous", seriously? Something gives me the feeling these guys have nothing better to do than talk sh*t.

Anyways, willing to do $900 shipping included, killer price. This is a SICK setup, check out the link for the shop that fabricated it, check out the morel ULTIMO 12 sub, this one is barely used and it will hit HARD.

Not to thread crap, but I have to agree with escobar929 here. That is just a ridiculous amount to charge for a sub enclosure, but I think the majority of folks common sense will let them figure that out on their own. But if you are asking $900 with sub then that is reasonable

Other options exist which are much cheaper. IMHO the MusicarNW custom enclosure are the best out there, but I am somewhat biased and they are not nearly as expensive.

geez, lots of thread crapping going on here... I agree that he paid a high price, but that's his business... he's offering the enclosure and sub at a reasonable price now and you'd be hard pressed to find that sub and a nice enclosure like this for a significantly lower price.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the kind words. I'm not out to rip anyone off, anyone that's on craigslist or ebay a lot knows that the asking price is a starting place for negotiations.

I'd keep this setup but I have a feeling i'm gonna end up in a X3M late 2012, only because I have a dog. So the 135 is sold and i'm driving around my work truck for now.

I'm selling the sub separately on ebay and i'm selling just the sub enclosure for $400 w/ shipping, check out my other thread if interested, THANX
