BMW tune = Lets hope for updated N54 (most likely) with some suspension tweaks in the sporty direction (hopefully).

A conservative tune (like 30-40 hp increase) should not hurt the reliability.

Dan a reliable source told me about the BMW tune in 2007. It should be out shortly.

All tunes are detectable (I've seen every tune in this shop) but unless it directly effects the part the tech is working on, it's ignored (at our shop anyway). One of the employees has a V3 and I've seen the JB3, Dinan, and SSTT
Release dates, pricing, and parts kits will come later for the BMW Tune

It's detectable, but I'm not sure it matters if it doesn't directly create a part to fail. It's been said most tunes are undetectable, but it's not true. They can see it all here at the shop

Detectable even after the tune is removed? I can imagine it's visible through diagnostics if it's left in during service. |

Yes tune installed. Even if you take the tune out, during CPO inspection it's going to fail because it's been tampered with

Wow, a factory tune from BMW sounds awesome. I'm shopping for a new daily driver and this would be a big deal to sway me from another Evo.
Do it, BMW!

Will BMW CPO their own tune? It would make no sense if they didn't.
