Hello 1M community. I have a 335is but I've been told my front end is quite similar and piratically the same as my engine is the N54T as well. So I'm looking if anyone else had this happen and what solution they have taken.

Our cars have a coolant hose that runs from passenger to driver about mid level in terms of height into the auxiliary radiator in the driver side fender. It's secured in place (to not move and crash into the belt or fan I guess) by 3 clips. The clips are mounted on the fan shroud.

Here is the broken clip (the glue stuff is epoxy I tried, but it didn't work)

Part number of the held hose to the fan shroud via clips. Notice it is a one piece to the lower rad hose.

As you can see in blue, those clips seem to come with the hose. But those clips I did not break.

I broke the clip that would be where the red circle is, so it means it seems that the clip doesn't come with the hose.

I then looked up the part for the radiator fan shroud and nothing there. I also share the same fan a 1M.

Called my dealer over the phone over 30 mins and they tried really hard but could not locate a PN or prucahsable replacement clip.

So now I am SOL. But I mustn't be the only who had issues with this clip or remove the rad fine because of that hose. Anyone else or found a good solution? Like I can still the car but I'm not flooring it since it's winter. But this summer and once the engine mounts wear a bit I think it could potentially become an issue if it's not secured in place.

These probably aren't exactly right but they have a similar appearance:

Look at this post and the attached .pdf: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...48&postcount=4

It looks like it is Part "F" in the PPK retrofit kit.

Yeah 1st 2 PN were recommended to me but they're not exactly it and I don't think they will be held in place well in the shroud.

Ahhhhhh yes there we go it would be F. Altough mine is at a 90 degree angle I'm sure would work perfectly fine as well as in the pdf you linked it shows to use part F. That is exactly it. But there is no actual part number in the doc damn. I feel like I'm so close haha.

I google part numbers for the retrofit kit and can't find sub-part numbers under there either for the hose clip hmmm.

I think I would just go to a dealer with a print out of your PPK aux cooler & hose... and see what they can come up for you.

Good Luck

Hold on I just realised how simillar the ends that grip on to the cooler hoses that PN is.

But it's werid that PN doesn't have any place or connector that indicates it would sit into a radiator shroud. As if it's missing my broken piece in my pic.

Holy shit guys I think I've got it!!! Not exactly the same but it's the same as those that are used on the ends of the hose for sure! so just doesn't have a 90 degree under grip to it. Should still do! Thanks ayao I followed your thread link and someone posted the invoice of PN he got from the dealer!

It's not even listed under 335is this is so stupid it's only under 335d and the 1M I think.

Cool!

Yeah that HD radiator fan was taken from the 335d and used in the 1M and 335is.

Ahh ok.

But still realoem should show them for my car.

Notice how it doesn't even show the lower radiator hose WITH the aux hose going into the aux rad? Originally I had no idea what hose it was on my car because I was just looking at the diagram lol.
