AC Schnitzer and stripes

Finally finished putting on the AC front bumper inserts, roof and deck spoiler. Also BMW performance skirts and some stripes. Over all I think it came out pretty nice.

Actually don't like any of the ACS wheels, nor the valance diffuser insert. I think the stripes go good with blue. Reminds me of the older blue vipers with white stripes. Thinking of going the csl route like everyone else. That type of wheel is just too legit

Any pics of the front in the sunlight? Can't see the inserts that well.
Thanks,

Its always nice to see something different, but there's something about it that looks really off to me. Maybe just needs more done? With the white stripes, blue paint black trim chrome kidneys and silver wheels your colors are very busy too.

I'll put up a pic of the front in some light later on.

I actually don't like the chrome kidney, i'm thinking of swapping em out for some CF ones later. In reality, and I know this is probably blasphemy, I don't like kidney grills period.

Too busy? Not sure how two colors can get too busy, I'm still trying to look at it from your point of view. What do you mean black trim? The stock plastic pieces that come on the car? I agree on the chrome kidneys though. I'm thinking stance and wheels would complete the look.

Blue, white, shadowline, Chrome, silver. Too many colors. Nix the Chrome and maybe black wheels, but thats my opinion. Make sure you do what you like man.

and this is exactly why I don`t like it! Because it`s a 1 series and not a viper! CSL style wheels will look great!

Car looks nice. As many noted it does feel a bit 'American muscle' with the tripe. It isn't the stripe itself but rather it being a white stripe on blue, mustangs had a similar style years back.

upon second glance i do like it overall. Especially the PE sideskirts and the Roof spoiler. May have to cave for it and get it painted AW. Does it just install with double sided tape?

here is a pic of mine in aw:

it`s not fixed with double sided tape. it`s the same stuff you use for the bmwp rear spoiler, it`s liquid (dunno the right term sry ).

Do they sell it painted already? Betalink, exactly what i don't want to use. I'll use my 3M tape like i did with my JBspeed trunk lip.

don't underestimate 3M tape, it's held on my spoiler for 6 months and up to speed limiter multiple times. I think it'd be fine on a purely cosmetic roof spoiler.

I def wouldn`t say that it`s a purely cosmetic part, since it changes the lines dramaticaly. But maybe over here where you have got no speed limit it`s another point, since I drive almost everyday up to speed limiter!

Where are other trim pieces available? This is what came with the car when I bought it.

I'm not a fan of black wheels. I actually think it's too plain. I guess it's all a matter of opinion, what you say is too busy I see as contrast haha.

I was afraid it would look to "american muscle" with the stripes but thats why I didn't go down the middle like the viper or pony cars. Off to the side actually gives is a more "euro" feel. In this city that look is actually pretty appealing, and I've still got my '70 Mustang Fastback so it keeps my loyalty a tad.

These AC parts I think are very subtle compared to the likes of some of those huge front bumpers. That looks a bit too "boy racer" in my opinion.

The roof spoiler is put on with adhesive, they actually measure and prime the top of the windshield for it to stick per the ACS instructions. It's on there pretty snug.

Get the black front grills and powder coat your wheels white..and lower it -

I appreciate the originality - looks unique and I've always ben a fan of those particular ACS bits.
