IND Carbon Roof Ordered
Hello,
So just ordered the carbon roof from IND (yes extremely pumped for this ). I'm wondering if anyone has done an install on a E82 chassis whether it's a 135i or 1M. Trying to figure out what happens to the two clipped in roof trims, where the roof rack would be bolted to... Currently drilling/cutting out the OEM roof and realised this.. Anyone have any DIY's or knowledge on this? Be greatly appreciated!

Hey Ralf, Nick here we spoke several times during Trillium events this summer. Just wanted to say I think you're crazy with all the work you and your pops are putting into your 1er - in a good way! I want to do a carbon roof as well one day but waiting to do cage, seats etc all at once when the roof gets cut off. So jealous, good luck!
Oh and to actually provide some constructive input, you still use the roof rails, there will be grooves for them, but paint/wrap them black or it'll look weird. Forum members who I know have done this mod include Power Beast and ilikebmxbikes, maybe try reaching out to them directly for input on the process. Also, there was an iND thread where they had photos of a carbon roof install. |
