New wheels, do they fit? It DePEnds on how you look at it...
Had to steal a little something from jzhang on my title
My new wheels are on after quite a few months of waiting. I am super happy how they came out and props to Manu@DPE for his support and putting up with me. Anyway here we go, not a professional shoot or any major edits I just tweaked them and bordered them. Sizes below are small to not kill bandwidth, larger version in the link below the pics. Full size pictures Specs DPE S20 19x8.5 19x9.5 (offsets unknown, but aggressive fitment compared to their "stock" fitment) Textured gunmetal centers with polished step lip Hidden hardware Limited edition red center caps Tires are Yokohama Advan Neova 225/35x19 on front, and 255/30x19 on the back Lowered on KW V2's and running Vorslag camber plates in front. Everyone already asks and will ask here, does it rub? Yes, it did and does. Fender mounts have been trimmed in the front, fenders rolled all around, pulled in the back, and I still have one little spot on the passenger side front and rear that rubs (really lightly and only in certain situations) that I will fix soon. All in all, there is about 5 hours of work in just the fender work so far, and really needs more. Big shout out at Tony at Turn in Concepts for all the fender and camber/toe/final height work. All comments welcome

Thanks all, just resized the pics for the first post as I didn't realize they were so small (that's what she said )
Yeah man I love the tread pattern but they are wide. I'd say pushing a whole size larger, because I expected stretch on the front and didn't get any, and the back is only slightly stretched. They're pretty damn stiff but give a good look. Next set of tires will definitely need to stretch more so I can get it even lower

Phew, those tires are wear wicked fast man. Must be one hell of an aggresive offset for there to still be rubbing with 225/255 tires and all that fender work. Are you sure you're not hitting your strut in the front? When I installed my vmr 701's (18x8.5 - 235/40/18) in the front, there was bout 2-3mm MAYBE of space between the strut and the outside of the tire/wheel. So i installed a 3mm spacer. Could be your issue unless youre def noticing tire rash after every rub.

Also..I keep seeing people talking about rolling and pulling their rear fenders, yet I just dont see how the hell you can do it. I mean the rear fender is all metal and its pretty much flattened bout as much as it could be around where the tire would hit. I dont see how all that work could really give you more than MAYBE 1-2mm at the most. Any insight??
The fronts I know are a different story theres a little more room to be gotten with rolling those as they are plastic around the curvature. |

I'd have to guess mid 30's rear and low 30's front, but I could be mistaken. Just based on the amount of work to get them in there, it has to be pretty darn aggressive

You're right about rolling, there isn't a lot of room to be had. In the rear, there is a line of caulk that runs the length of the fender. When you roll it, it just rolls around that and leaves a lot to be had if you don't cut it out. We did not do that in the whole fender, but out where the fender and bumper touches I trimmed a lot of that caulk in there. Before I raised it up a touch to stop it from rubbing, I had actually made contact with the fender between the 2 and 3 o'clock position if you look at the wheel like a clock face. Toooooo low
