Talking Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals

Share your finds!

Auto-wise, so far I've only ordered some stuff from FCP Euro. I also got a camera lens on KEH.

Will continue to post stuff I find. Only other thing I'm really on the hunt for is an electric impact wrench

Automotive Deals:
  • FCP Euro Discount on most items
  • Home Depot tons of deals on tools, I got the Rigid impact driver for $160

Other Categories:
  • eBay Site-Wide Discounts
  • KEH (photography gear) 15% off with code BLFR11

Look at amazon for an impact. In the daily deals yesterday there was a DeWalt for $99. Wasn't the good one but it was something.

I have not found anything I needed. No deals that really said 'you need this now'. 20% off isn't enough for me to jump.
I wanted the VC breather from Tony, but it's not in stock and with no ETA I'm not buying it. Could be never for all I know.

I was turbo shopping. *sigh
But I need more fuel to have more turbo. Just adds up too fast and too much. And then there are too many options with very little feedback. I don't NEED it so I'm in no hurry to fork out $5k+.

I hear you! I don't buy things that I wasn't already planning to get. Not unless I come across a crazy deal.

Found an impact driver though! Got the Rigid for $160
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-1...11SB/303037082

Also picked up a little electric driver for $20 nothing too special just something I've wanted for a while that is super useful for most odd jobs

Looking at a nice 3/8" torque wrench, something with very low torque numbers, getting annoyed torquing down bolts and nuts between 6nm and 18nm...my 1/2 starts at 20nm.

That impact looked good. Ordered. LOL
Looked through all 30 pages, didn't find anything else tempting. And found that same impact with no battery for $140, LOL.

Should work well for track side wheel changes.

And why is there never a bundle with a 1/4" and a 1/2"?
And why so many with hammer drills ... that many masons out there?

LOL. Nice I'm excited to get mine and not have to wrench my wheels on and off now.

HF had some good random stuff I needed, electrical tape, flashlight etc. but yeah didn't see too many good tools when I looked back through. They do have an $11 torque wrench with warranty though! Unsure on the 1/2" & 1/4" bundles. Never understood the hammer drill thing either, my main cordless has that function and I've literally never used it.

I bought a hammer drill when I needed to drill some holes into my concrete foundation. Cut into it like butter.

@Matticus91: look up Porter Cable in Amazon. They have a plugin one for $79.99. Rated at 450 ft lbs. I didn’t know if that will fit your needs.

Thanks for the recommendation for the Ridgid. Looks like a good deal for tire changes and all that.

Battery-electric impact was the best purchase we've ever made. Great for changing brake pads at the track.

Fortune Auto had some good deals on scratch-and-dent items, ECS had some awesome deals on bumpers (hmm) and then the usual assortment of things they have deals on. Nothing really exciting, but I imagine Cyber Monday deals are going to be better. Patterson Car Care products are 25% off, I've seen/heard good things, and it's all really well-priced.

This X-Mas is going to be so hard to pick a present for...so many good options in my mind.

For a good cordless impact, you want the 20V DeWalt. It is the king of the hill right now. Awesome gun!

I have this and it rips, saved my ass a few times. Made life easy doing my coilover install and it does a good job getting lug nuts off, though make sure you torque them fully.

Top gear solutions has good deals on parts, got a new ER oil cooler.

If it did, I don't think that Germans would shop there. If you are looking for small stuff like fasteners and O-ring kits, as long as you don't expect too much from it, then you might be OK. The quality of most of what they sell is so low, that even though the stuff costs next to nothing, I don't think that self-respecting Germans would buy it; too quality conscious.

While it is true that a poor workman blames his tools, it is also true that poor quality tools do not make any job easier.

That's super cheap but I really wanted cordless, being able to take it with me is a huge bonus

I saw some good scratch and dent deals as well, if I wasn't happy with my current suspension it would definitely have been on my list

FYI, those HF torque wrenches do not have a great reputation for accuracy. With low torque aluminum bolts, you really don't want to chance accidentally over-torquing. By contrast, the HF Earthquake XT 1/2" impact is great. It's astonishingly powerful and seems quite durable so far.

Home Depot is running some promotions across several cordless systems where you can get one or two batteries or tools free when you purchase a combo kit. Probably a good deal for someone who hasn't invested in a system yet.

Though I can't find a sale on it at the moment, I highly recommend the Milwaukee M12 stuff. It's amazing how small the tools are, and yet they still manage to be quite effective. The most shocking is that they have a 3/8" impact wrench rated at 250ft/lbs, and it actually works quite well while weighing about a third of what my big 1/2" does.
