Surprised an older guy in a SL600

Ya I know what you're all saying. Although, I'm pretty sure the guy in the M thought he had a chance, haha. He was all serious and had that "look" LOL

In term of the SL600 running low 12's at a track, last time I checked 0.5-1 sec. difference is about 1/2 car length? That's not a pull by any means and that's why I'm not overly surprised that in this situation the 135 wasn't in this guy's rear review.

I don't think the SL600 without biturbo is faster than the 135i.

Well, I think the SL is going to be faster, in the 1.4 mile & a "longer haul", but not more than 1 car length especially in the 1/4 - so what's that in a "longer haul", 1.5-2 secs difference? That's not enough to be seeing the 135 in the rear view.

Honestly after a certain point hp's and number of cylinder dont mean anything.

Ya weight is the biggest factor. Prime example is the lotus exige. 200hp car, but 4.7 sec 0-60. Have you seen mag articles where they take a stock crap car (civic, escorts etc) and take almost everything out including frame and body panels - that car drop seconds instantly.

Yep heck a some truck have 400-500 hp still slower than a 200-240 hp car. IMO the 135I is not a sleeper nor the 128. The car can hang with M cars,911s,EVO,STI from the factory. While the 128 can still embarass 90% of the cars on the road(Stang GT,300C,GTI).

Well I wouldn't go as far as to say f Street bikes - they're fun too!
